"Democrats, Republicans, and those who have yet to make up their minds - November 8 will be a momentous day for this nation. We want each and every one of you to get out there and cast your vote. You may have noticed there's some pretty outrageous stuff happening in the world, and it might feel like you can't make a difference, but guess what...YOU CAN! Your vote is your voice - not everyone will like it, but you've got to make it heard."
Many thanks to creators Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein who came home to the Hirschfeld recently to register audience members to vote in the lobby after the show. I'm so proud to take the stage with a show that uses its voice to inspire others and do some good. Anyone can register online to vote instantly at http://kinky.vote/!
“Because of its subject and its message, Kinky Boots has the rare opportunity to be part of the political conversation,” Fierstein said. “Hopefully, this fun little rewrite of “Everybody Say Yeah” will remind some people to register before it’s too late, and make sure their voices are heard on November 8th.”
